You'll find them all in settings, general, international,
languages, loads of them in there, but only 3 English ones, the Spanish
one is a male but of course, his accent when speaking English is a bit strange
but I bet one could get used to it...Good luck with the exploration!

I understood the iPhone had a whole lot of voices. I
have to admit to not having found them on my iPod Touch yet though.

Hi Andy

Well I listened to the voice over on the iphone in store
and with the volume turned up I could hear it but as I
said in another post I prefer a male voice as my hearing loss doesn't let me hear high
frequency sounds all that well hence why a male, deeper voice is
better for me. Let us know how, with your hearing impairment you get on
with it.
Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie -- ignore him, he's always like that, thinks
he's a comedian...

I too have a hearing loss and plan to put an Ipod Touch
to the test on Sunday at my local store, I need to know
if I can hear voice over clearly enough, both with hearing aids, and through
headphones, and i want to know how much I can crank it
up for music with headphones. -

What about people who have a nearing impairment and
find the Iphone
voice
difficult to hear, as I do as it is a female voice and
I understand
that
at
present you can't change the default voice that is the
reason why I am reluctant to go down that road at the
moment as I can't hear it all
that
well.
So please can people stop being sarcastic and answer
the questions in
a
civilised and helpful manner or keep quiet

Debbie

Dave,

Why can't people ask a quite legitimate question
without it being put down by a sarcastic comment? What will
people say when Apple have killed off all the competition and
there is no choice out there?

Hi,

TALKS only works on Nokia phones.

As the CEO of Nokia has admitted himself, Nokia has
missed
the boat,
and
if I were you, I would be looking at the I phone, with
which you do
not
need to purchase extra text to speech software, such
as
TALKS, as it
has Voice over as standard, as with all Apple products.

Accessible straight out of the box, as it should be.

Cheers

Dave

Hi Please is there a website where I could find
out
what other
phones are out there that will take talks on? or
does anyone
know of other phones talks works on? must have easy
to feel
keys,
similar to the Nokia N86
