Hi Mike, thanks for the tip. I've made a note of it.

In the past if I have needed a specific quantity, say 7ml for the sake of
argument... I have gotten someone sighted to help me initially set the
syringe to the amount and put a nick in the plastic of the plunger. Then
just draw up the quantity until my nail was caught in the nick level with
the top of the syringe body. A tip was to put a nick on the very top part of
the plunger to correspond to the side where the nick was at.

Michael, as a blind person how would I know when I'd drawn up the right
amount into the syringe?

                    John.

Hi everybody, does anyone know of an accessible way of
measuring small quantities of liquid? The only measuring aids I've ever
heard of or come across are for measuring relatively large quantities. A
measuring spoon wouldn't be any good, as I'd be measuring out of a bottle,
need to be accurate and don't want spillage or to have to gauge level with
my finger, which I'd usually do with liquids.
  Hope someone can help,
                  thanks,
                    John.
