Don’t mean to be picky, but strictly speaking VO D opens and takes you into the
dock where you will find the apps which appear there. If you want to access a
list of all apps on the Mac then hit shift command A. That will take you into
a list with which you’ll be prompted to interact which means pressing shift VO
keys and down arrow. This all sounds complicated but after a while it becomes
like riding a bike…though that’s not a very good comparison is it’s something
I’ve never managed to master.

Hi Trace,
No, there is no start menu. Control-Option d will give you access to the apps.
In order to read a document from the Mac on a PC, from Pages you have to export
the document as a Word document. I’ll send you some tutorial-type documents.
Best wishes,

Hi Trace,
As Ed says, Macs are very accessible out of the box. There will be some
learning curve, but there is plenty of learning material on the
Applevis.com<http://applevis.com/> website. That’s how I learned; I paid for a
year’s one-to-one but I didn’t need to use it. I now use both PC and Macbook
without much difficulty at all.

Hi Trace,
Yes, Voiceover comes as standard and it'll talk right out of the box.
The Macbook Air and Macbook Pro both have USB. The Macbook might too though I'm
not sure.
You can also copy your iTunes library using an external drive, though if you
want to save to it from the Mac, you may need to reformat it.

You could use iTunes Natch. This would give access to your iTunes library on
all your devices. You would have to pay, but I think it's worth it.
