No, there is no start menu. Control-Option d will give you access to the apps.
In order to read a document from the Mac on a PC, from Pages you have to export
the document as a Word document. I’ll send you some tutorial-type documents.

learning curve, but there is plenty of learning material on the Applevis.com

You can also copy your iTunes library using an external drive, though if
you want to save to it from the Mac, you may need to reformat it.
