[access-uk] lost my phones lock code urgent help required please

hi all i have n82 as my standby phone i had changed the lockcode from
the deafault and i had asked the phone to ask for the code on startup
and today i started the phone after many months and i forgot my lock
code.
I want to ask is there a way to restore the lock code to default
without doing a hard reset? How to do it
