Hi,
So how do you actually install the software, I downloaded the driver from
the Epson UK website. do I just click on the file? will it just install on
the right location where it needs to be for the scanner to work? or do I
have to put it in a particular location?

I have the 1600 scanner and I had to install the software then turn the
computer off and plug in the usb connection before re-booting. XP found
the
scanner automatically and I think it also found the software which had
been
installed.
