After a long walk around the neighbourhood tonight Suzanne and I popped into
our local Fox and Fiddle for a pint. The place was crouded with kids, many
of whom were not even born until later in the 80's, let alone tune into the
lost 80's lunch. Anyway, the music in this pub was horrendous. I couldn't
hear a darned thing. Suzanne couldn't hear a thing either. What surprised me
though, was that these kids were all leaning over the tables shouting at
each other. Apparently. they couldn't hear each other either. As to the
dance floor? There were only two female dancers on the dance floor. So, the
entire pub had to shout at each other so these two girls could dance? This
makes a night out these days? I'm still trying to make sense of it.
