Oh yes definitely its one of those (now I'm rubbish at cables) I think its called a phono? Its a cable where both ends are the same and look like a standard headphones jack.

does the talking dab radio, the sonus 1-xt have a line in or out not sure which lol, to let me plug into a laptop and record programs that way via my mac? in other words can i plug the cable into the line in of the mac and into the radio and setup my macintosh via audio highjack pro to record when i want. that may be a solution round my getting a radio with scheduling features i guess
