Hi Kevin,
That’s great. So I assume these are just Bluetooth glasses, and don’t have
apps associated with them? Even then, you would need to mount the camera
correctly.
All the best

Hi Steve.
I’m not sure your statement below is completely accurate. Bose discontinued
it’s augmented reality apps and closed down the whole AR division in June this
year but it subsequently went on to release 3new pairs of Bluetooth audio
glasses in September.
https://www.cnet.com/news/bose-frames-get-a-2020-makeover-trio-of-new-and-improved-250-audio-sunglasses-now-available/
These could be used in conjunction with Seeing AI and the Lidar function in the
latest iPhones in the same way as any headphones could be used.

Hi John,
What are you talking about? The Bose Frames have been discontinued, the apps
are no longer available and so you won’t get any Lidar effect from them.
All the best

thanks ibrahim so if i had my bose frames on and i walked out it would be as
good as the sunu band. i did hear jonathan mosen do a bit about it in his
podcast. i wonder if it would come on the cheaper devices maybe not eh but
again what a move forward for blind people. an example is say i go to the shops
this morning which will not happen because of the snow in front of our local
store because of covid people could be stood out there say five of them.
generally my dog will still try to take me to the door but of course stops if
someone is stood there. because being totally blind you are not quite sure
though why the dog has stopped. now with lidar this could be a great help
though you would have to hold the phone in your hand though and this could be
the difficulty with it all. with the sunu band it is already on your wrist.
it is all very interesting though and i just hope it will get better for us
all. thanks then.

Hi John
Yes, I did have a play with the function in seeing AI and I have to say I'm
rather impressed with it. The proximity sensor is particularly useful as it
vibrates the phone with increasing intensity the nearer you get to an object.
Plugging a pair of headphones in which is strongly recommended enables you to
hear the location of objects in a 3-D soundscape, so for instance if the door
is slightly to your left and in front of you, the sound will come from that
direction and as you rotate your head and your phone, the sound announcement
changes.
