Damon have you tried it without the css to make sure you’re coding the list
properly. Are you closing the list item tags?

Format should be

<UL>

<LI>list item 1</li>

<LI> list item 2</li>

</ul>

Jfw won’t announce eh bullets but will recognise that each item is a new item
and will move it on to a new line and will call it a list item.

The only lists I’ve seen jfw behave oddly with are definition lists.

Subject: [access-uk] <li> unordered lists

Hi.

A question about using <ul> and <li> tags in web page creation.

When I use them, bullet points don't seem to show up in my screenreader. The
text just all runs together as if it's one paragraph. Admittedly the line break
is recognised but usability is lost without a bullet point.

What reason is there for this?

Is it strictly a CSS thing? i.e. the CSS I'm using on my site could be altering
the condition to the point that the screenreader doesn't recognise a bullet is
there? Or is there another reason?

Any tips either way appreciated.

Note I do have to use <UL> tags here so this is my only solution. I've seen
bullet points work previously but can't work out what is going wrong.

FYI I am using JAWS 9 on IE6 today.
