What CD are you using to boot from, Terry. Could the media
possible be faulty?

George.

Hi

I can set the cdrom as the first option, during the boot up
sequence, but
still doesn't do anything. When the pc is turned on, the cd
spins for a few
seconds, then stops. I've tried booting from a floppy, then
typed setup but
just says, bad command or file name.

Is there something I need to do to the hard drive before xp
can start to be
loaded on to it?

I'm really annoyed with the whole thing, as I only bought it
a few weeks
ago, off another list.
