Hello,
The Lenovo laptops are quite good I find for these issues as they have
the large speakers that are for some reason lacking. In fact I got rid
of mine because it had a numeric keypad (which I don't like in a
laptop), so that is present as well.
One thing I find about them however is that they are not the most
robust so it might be worth investing in a protective sleeve for it if
you take it on aeroplanes and the like a lot.

Looks like I will need to replace my current laptop in the next few months
and seeking recommendations. My main 2 requirements are:
Good quality sound speakers/sound card for listening to speech;
