[access-uk] issue with jaws 2020

HI list.
I recently updated my jaws to the latest update. I am running windows 10 on a 
surface pro.
since the update, i am unable to read my desk top or pretty much any list views 
or tree views. The arrow keys do nothing. Menus aren’t reading either.
As soon as I switch to NVDA the screen reader behaves normally.
Any ideas of what i can try?
I googled but I  was unable to  find anything useful/
