The devices I was referring to all have talking caller ID. The panasonic phones
are only 30 quid or so and they definitely have voice output across all
handsets if buying multiples.

Some of the Panasonic phone models do this,, or take a look at Truecall
VI which is a great call manager.

there a means of doing this with our landline? if yes, where do I get
it? Is it easy to set up, etc?
