If the unless, the iPod is on the slide to set up screen, triple
click home won't work. But otherwise, yes. As for charging,
plug it into a wall outlet with the plug it came with, or just
plug it's USB into anything, even a note taker will charge it, as
long as as plug in, it's original apple cable.
