Yes, you are dead right! (smile). I also find some names can get it into a
twist, so have found spelling them helpful.
I am sure the whole concept could be improved upon with future releases, but
using this feature regularly does make one less self-conscious after a
while.

I'm not sure if this works on the IPad but on the Iphone when you dictate a
sentance and if its not what you wanted, instead of correcting the words in
that sentance, just shake the phone and it will delete the last sentance
altogether, then just start it again. It saves me a lot of time finding the
incorrect words and fiddling about deleting them, quicker that way, that's
why you should dictate in sentences.

My only additional comment to what Jackie has said relates to correcting
dictation errors.
This I find to be a pain and sometimes quite time consuming.
Thats why I end to dictate in fairly small chunks, say to a comma, on the
basis that the shorter the chunk the easier it is to correct and the less
likely it is to make erros anyway.
Totally agree though, it does have its uses, and in the context of other
input possibilities like a keyboard and the touch screen, the experience is
very accessible!
