1 what exactly is ipv6?
It is the newer extension to the existing IPv4 internet protocol.
2 how is it different from ip v4?
It is different because IPv4 has only 32bits addressable space which is rapidly
depleting at present.
3 can all types of internet connections use IPv6?
No, not by any means, most consumer routers use IPv4 internally and some can
talk externally in IPv6 but that depends on the ISP and most don't just now.
4 how do i upgrade from ip v4 to v6?
The internet as a whole will have to upgrade and this is likely to be a slow
adoption taking many years so there is no immediate need to worry just yet.

It will be the ISP's (Internet Service Providers) that will run out IPV6
first. As of now it is only being tested with ISP's in readiness for the
full global rollout.
