Just updated to iOS 8.2, yes I know.

Looked at the weather app myself, wow, did they mess that up or what?
Download bbc weather, that should work better.

Hi Martin

I might wait for the next iOS release and then update my iPhone 6. As I
don't need my iPad Mini so immediately, it seemed sensible to try the very
latest release on it first.

I have found what I think is a bug in the native Weather app in iOS 8.0. I
often use this app to get an indication of whether it might be safe to put
the washing out in the morning. But for each hour you get a short forecast,
VoiceOver isn't reading out the hour as it did in iOS 7. So, for example,
if it says 10.00: showers, 14 degrees, it just announces the conditions, not
the time. But when it reaches 00.00, the time is announced into the
following day until it reaches 13.00, then the time drops off again. Very
odd! It isn't a real problem, but a bug nevertheless.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

My iphone is my main phone, and I don't want to upgrade and update, just to
get problems. I need to do it via itunes anyway, as not enough room on the
phone, and it illiminates having to delete apps if you do it that way too.
Will speak to apple in the morning, as iOS eight is offered by itunes, but
iOS eight 02 is offered by my phone, with attendant whining about no space.
I have an iphone 5c 8gig.

Hi Martin

Still playing with it on my iPad Mini, but haven't updated to 8.02 on my
iPhone yet. I do really prefer the Alex voice to Daniel, it was worth it
for that alone.

Ok, how does everyone find iOS 8.2 now? Are there any major voiceover bugs?

Hi Chris

Many thanks, cracked it! I reset my settings, and now Alex works a treat,
and I can change the voices easily. I don't know how these things get
muddled, but this worked.

All is well here on my iPad Mini with Retina 128 GB. I am able to download
and change voices at will. Try one of the resets ensuring you have a backup
first.
