Your Zoomtext can happily be installed onto the PC at your work placement.
Niether would Ai Squared be particularly bothered as your type of
installation would remain a stand alone installation because you would still
not be able to run over the network. I would also assume that you would not
be running two simmultanious copies of Zoomtext but merely have it installed
in more than one location. The latter being fine whilst the former is a
breach of license agreement. There are special versions of Zoomtext that
allow multiple simmultanious operation and network use. As it is your
Zoomtext will largely be unconcerned with your PCs network activities.

Hi Everyone,
Just some advice I'm after.
I'm applying for a two week work experience placement with Ipswich Borough
council as a research assistant.
It will involve researching using the internet.
I'm due to have a chat with the boss of this project tomorrow and just one
thing I need to know from you all.
I have zoomtext xtra single user licence only. I don't have a site/network
licence to use on a network. However, would installing zoomtext or, any
access software (single user licence) on a computer, linked to a network,
where the software can only be used on the computer installed and not on the
network itself, constitute a network installation?
Meaning that would this violate the licence by doing installing access
software this way?
I'm in no doubt AI squared, freedom scietific would not recommend doing this
at all but, just needed to know what the effects would be and whether such a
thing could be done?
Please feel free to ask me to clarify if this doesn't make any sense.
