Hi Fran, I think this probably means the TV's built in tuner. However,
depending on the model of Panasonic you have, I believe some of them will
allow you to record onto a USB media device so that could be an external
hard drive or USB pen drive. Some of the other guys on the list here should
be able to confirm that. I seem to remember a pretty indepth thread on this
last year.

Hi Steve thanks for information. I would like to be able to record, so
maybe I have wasted my money I was told by Panasonic that it was possible to
get the voice guidance to work By connecting the aeriel cable directly
into the tvs tuner, I read this to be the external box.

Fran, I'm afraid the voice guidance will only work for the TV and the built
in freeview in the telly. It will not provide any voice guidance for either
sky or and external freeview box. Unless you are wanting to record, do you
need another freeview box?

Does anybody have a voice guidance Panasonic television, and if so do you
know if it can be used with freesat. I have just purchased the TXL
panasonic tv with voice guidance, but cannot get the voice guidance to work
through the sky box. I currently have sky, but I am thinking of ditching
sky for freesat as I feel that sky has not done anything much to make it
accessible for visually impaired users. Any info would be appreciated.
