Thank you David, good advice, but my icons are checked but still absent. It has
been a long chore but we have now restored the icons one by one but it was a
very peculiar thing to happen and I will keep a note of your suggestions.

1. Windows M to shift focus to Desktop.
2. 2. Make sure that no icon is selected – as you have none there should
be none. If anything is selected press control space to de-select it.
3. Now press the application key and open up the view sub menu. Cursor
down to show desktop icons and make sure that is checked. If not press enter to
check this and your desktop icons should return.

Subject: [access-uk] icons have disappeared from y desktop
Any ideas, folk? Suddenly virtually all the icons have disappeared from our
desktop, although most are on the taskbar, but not our homemade ones. Have
checked the recycle bin, but they aren’t there. Any ideas?
