Hi Jacob

It is probably a setting in the Advanced section of the setup that you need
to alter.  If you add your info manually, which I favour, when you get to
the Advanced, you need to make sure you are choosing the correct parameters
or it won't work.  For example, you need to choose between SSL or TLS, and
ensure your port numbers for both incoming and outgoing are correct.

I know that all sounds a bit complicated and unnecessary perhaps, but if you
don't have these details set correctly, it won't work.  There is no reason
why your Sense shouldn't work if you can select iCloud or Manual from the
various tabs because I think that only came in from 8.2 upwards.  As I don't
use iCloud, I don't know what the advanced settings need to be if you enter
them manually.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Hi Carol
I have tried entering the information both manually and using the E-mail tab
on the sense.
I have changed my password on my mail account with cloud; but to no avail:
any help would be welcome but am a bit thick.
Jackie walked me through it manually, but still couldn't crack it; perhaps
this machine is too old!
Thanks
Jake

Sorry, don't know how old this message is but I assure you I'm older
and still catching up with messages after last year! <Smiles>

Basically, I think you have to give your account a different password
than you use for any iPhone etc.

I haven't looked at my iCloud for ages but know the incoming is working.
If you're still stuck, give me a big nudge and I'll try to help you
some more.
