Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade from 8 to 10, I'll try your version and see if I have
any better luck.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi,

Are you trying to install iTunes 9 or 10?

Sometimes killing the registry entries for the software will fool the
installer into working again.

If you're only trying 9 and want 10, I hosted it for a friend at:

Subject: [access-uk] iTunes/Windows Installer

Hi,

I have been having problems trying to update and now to use iTunes. I get a
message that the Windows Installer service cannot be accessed, and am told
that this can occur if it hasn't been installed correctly.

Unfortunately the iTunes update appeared to get so far because some of the
files have been modified or removed meaning it won't run. When I try and
uninstall iTunes to start again, I get the same message. When I try running
the iTunes setup programme I am told that a problem caused the iTunes
installer to stop working. I have downloaded the setup file a few times
with the same result.

I am running Vista Home Premium on an HP Pavilion DV9000 series.

Thanks for any help anyone is able to offer.

Ed
