Hi Janet,
Voiceover won't go off even in mute mode, otherwise you would potentially
lose speech. Mute only mutes sounds.

you were absolutely right. I have just pressed the mute button and my phone
said un mute. what I don't understand now is why voice over was talking to
me while my phone was in mute mode. can someone explain please? Thanks for

couple of days ago and now for some unknown reason it just makes the noise
