my screen remains locked when I get notifications as I have set it to read
notifications in the locked screen. however like I said it does light up and
that is what might be draining the battery rather than it being locked or
unlocked.

Hi Rajmund

It isn't that I mind receiving notifications, I want that.  But what I don't
want is my phone remaining on once the notification has come in as it did
the other night and completely flattened the battery.  After two minutes, it
should say "screen locked," but this doesn't always happen and that is what
I object to.  Anyway, I have a few things to try so will see if any of them
make a difference.

Hi,
Disable notifications on the lock screen.  It will not only save battgy, but
will also keep speech silent, unless you choose to unlock the phone.  And of
course, avoids from people having a look at it.  Go settings, notifications,
and can go through each app, to disable on lock screen, or just disable with
the ones that you want.  I'd recommend disabling messages, more than
anything.

Subject: [access-uk] iPhone not always locking query

I am increasingly aware that when I receive a notification or text message,
my iPhone 6 doesn't always lock afterwards.  I have checked the amount of
time it is supposed to lock when not touched, and it is set to two minutes.
I must have received a notification last night because, when I went to my
iPhone this morning, it was dead! I am currently charging the battery which
had indeed gone flat, but I am puzzled as to why this happens more now than
ever.  It really means having to stick the phone on charge overnight in case
a notification comes in and doesn't lock the screen afterwards.

I am running the latest iOS release.  Is anyone else having this problem, or
is there anything else someone can suggest I try, please?

Thanks for any help.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Brown
