Hi Simon,
It's doubtful, since Bluetooth 5 is backward compatible with all earlier
versions of Bluetooth.
All the best

I also remember having this issue a few years ago with a headset. the only
conclusion I could come to was that the particular headset ran a bluetooth
version to early to be used with my new iPhone, as no matter what I did, the
iPhone just refused to see it.

Subject: [access-uk] iPhone and blue tooth devices
I have some Bluetooth headphones which I have used with no problem in the
past, but now they do not show up on the list of available devices when I go
into my iPhone Bluetooth settings. I wonder if there is a limit to the
number of Bluetooth devices which can be paired with the iPhone?
It is seeing my iBuds, my Sky speaker and another stand-alone Bluetooth
speaker - although none of them are active at the moment.
I have checked that the headphones are fully charged and that they are on.
Any other ideas?
Alison
