Hi

Yes this would be useful but I was thinking in terms of
doing research to find out where it was best to buy certain
items plus to find out what shops were in close proximity to
one another to plan a trip.
Regards

Adrien

Another consideration might be an app like blindsquare,
where you could walk the route with a sighted friend but
listen to what you are passing.
I recall when I first married and moved to an unfamiliar
town. I became very depressed and felt trapped and my
sighted husband suggested I caught the bus into town. I said
this was pointless, as I wouldn't know what I was passing.
That week-end we went into town together and he gave me a
running commentary of what we were passing. Wish there had
been such apps as Blindsquare then!

Hi Richard

Yes I found a website on google that displays all the shops
in torquay, gave up looking through them after a while too
many. Thanks.

1. You could try googling something like "high Street Hull"
shops.
2. You could try looking at
http://www.yell.com/

and completing the description field to find e.g.
electrical shops and the
location field with the town you want to search.

What is the best way for me to find out which shops are in a
particular street or area in a town please?
