Hi Barry we've tried it twice and it still is asking for user name and
password. Do you think that's because it's a corporate phone?

The website I got this info off didn't mention taking the sim card out, so I
doubt you would.

Cheers

If it's an iPhone and you have a computer with iTunes on, and cable to
connect to the computer, this will erase the device and its passcode.
list of 6 items
1. Disconnect all cables from your device.
2. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off
your device.
3. Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If
your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the
Home button.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes
screen.

5. If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that
it has detected a device in recovery mode.
6. Click OK. Then restore the device.
list end

If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1–4 again.

Cheers

Barry

Subject: [access-uk] how to erase iphone

Hi Everyone,
I am in South Africa at the moment visiting family and I discovered while I
was here that my Iphone 5S was locked to the U.K after I'd checked with
Apple who said it wasn't! Anyway my nephew has lent me an old phone of his
which he can't remember the password of. Is there anyway we can erase the
phone without having to put in the user name and password. He is the CEO of
a company and his IT guys can't find the user name and email address he
used. Help please, I don't care even if I have to crack the phone but I need
a phone here, anyone got any suggestions?
Mandy
