If only Peter, I tried real alternative, but it only works on live streams, and not download files.Wouldn't winamp play real media files with the tara plugin and real alternative installed?

Just a suggestion. Why not get rid of Real player and install real alternative.

has anyone had any success in opening "listen back" audio files from <http://www.rte.ie>www.rte.ie the only option for their smil files seems to bee realplayer. In the current vursion, their is no smil extension to highlight in the "media file types" list. Do I need an extra plug-in? or the basic, or plus version. Have also tried realplayer 8 in which I can't even access the ."file type" menue. To add insult to injury, realplayer has highjacked all my wmp and winamp files. How can I get this player to do what I want it to do, without sticking it's nose into my other media?
Regards,
John
