Agree but keeping on track where people share their knowledge free of charge
on these lists is absolutely brilliant. From another list, I have had
someone overseas tutor me on using the Mac voluntarily using voice over.
This is a young blind man age 21 and I am amazed at his generosity.

0was Hi,
0was
0was Surely it would be more likely that either:
0was
0was 1. The service has been stopped because fewer and fewer people were
0was using it--not really a cutback,
0was 2. It had to be stoppe because there's less money coming in since 0was others are tightening their belts, and admin costs such as phone bills,
0was rates and so on are rising--arguably a cutback--or,
0was 3. A bit of both.

0was Sorry, that's not the case. If I was to donate money to charity, and 0was completed the relevant form, the charity can re-claim the tax I paid on
0was my donation.

0was I could be mistaken but I believe one of David Cameron's wonderful
0was measures was to render charitable entities liable to tax on donations 0was hence $ the cutback because charitable bodies are required to set aside 0was money to pay the exchequer, therefore the amount of money available for
0was some voluntary services is either unavailable or heavily reduced.

0was hi futher to my last well how true it is about only having one life and
0was things are much harder for us blind people now.
0was
0was we have just had a letter this morning saying that the service that was
0was provided to us via the rotary club has ended.
0was
0was this service used to give blind people the chance to go to a concert in 0was leeds where the drivers would take you and fetch you back. so, as i said 0was on my last post things are going to get so much worse with the cut backs
0was so if you can aford to go for something and learn it then go for it.

0was more for this stuff just like the satnav but at

0was Hi John.
0was
0was Telorian is "260 without a phone, its way above my price range let
0was alone Jim's LOL. I've heard of it of course, but I'm not sure where
0was my money would be going except in to the pocket of yet another
0was company providing another bolt-on solution for Android devices.
0was Android phones have their own accessibility built right in, so why
0was cant people learn to use that rather than paying for a proprietary
0was solution? With Talks and Symbian we didn't have much choice, well we had
0was talks or mobile speak, but this?
0was
0was Anyway, I'll get off my hobby horse now LOL.

0was
0was Surely the Alto 2 is a very basic phone which has very limited features.
0was You couldn't compare the two devices if you tried, and Jim would
0was be losing a

0was lot of functionality by moving to such a cheap dumb phone.

0was Hi Jim
0was
0was With limited funds, and in keeping with the type of phone you
0was already have, perhaps the nearest would be the Alto2 from RNIB? I
0was suggest this because it is unlocked, and will enable you to simply
0was swap over your Sim card. It also has a tactile keypad, and you
0was wouldn't need to purchase a Talks upgrade because speech is built
0was into the Alto2.
0was

0was
0was Hi Lists,
0was
0was Apologies for cross posting but I need as much advice as possible.
0was
0was I thought the battery had died on my C5 but tests prove this not
0was to be the case. I have been informed that is probably a display
0was malfunction or even a motherboard issue. The display will cost
0was "25-by 30 alone to rectify, with possibly a similar amount for the
0was motherboard replacement.
0was
0was Rather than spend such an amount on repairs I was wondering if
0was anyone can point me to a replacement of some kind. Funds are
0was limited at the moment so I will need to consider very carefully
0was what are my options.
0was
0was Thanks in advance for any ideas.
