I've never really understood minimising windows on a Mac. For most apps
I do Command-H, but if I'm on Finder and I have a window open, I do
Command-M to minimise that and go to the desktop. To get back to a
minimised window, I use Command-Tab to find it, then Command-1 to get
the window unminimised.
