Hello to all
Towards the end of last year I posted about the problems we were having with
our local hospital who refused to email any communication .
Thanks to the people who gave their thoughts and ideas.
Well here is the outcome.
manager , the meeting was very positive and just to put the boot in I gave
them press cuttings on how the Mid Yorkshire trust had managed to achieve this
and added to this they had the backing of Nick Clegg, this and a not too gentle
reminder about the D A they were willing to do this.
At the moment and until they get their system set to automatically flag up a
persons need for email contact they are manually doing this for us.
They say it will take a few months to set things up and train staff but I think
this is more than acceptable.
So this battle has been won.
I can only encourage others to try their health trusts and not take no for an
answer.
