Make firefox your default browser and you can still access your favourites in
the ordinary way.

Subject: [access-uk] help with transferring bookmarks/favourites to firefox

Using XP home, Firefox and I E 8

I am trying unsuccessfully to transfer my bookmarks from Internet Explorer to
Firefox.

From within Firefox I have tried the import option within Firefox and ticked
appropriately. However when checking the favourites the updated items from IE
are not there.

I then tried to export them from IE but ran up against the problem of finding
the right place to export the file to within firefox. I also tried to copy the
favourites folder manually but ran up against the same problem of knowing where
to paste it and whether it was stored in firefox using a different name

  Has anybody any suggestions please?

  Peter Bentley
