Hi Adrian
I note the question is posted to more than one list, Talks list might be best but here goes for what help I can give. I answered your question before on a list with regard to numbers and letters on a qwerty keyboard. The fact that some of the keys do not speak is a Talks issue and highly likely never to be resolved as Talks is not having any further upgrades. Have you installed driver for your bluetooth keyboard? I think you wil need to do this as I had similar experience in that the phone could see it but not pair. I only learned recently on another list, think it was the Talks list actually, that the keyboard's drivers are required. Now let's get to the numbers and letters issue. When you want to put in a single number press the button on the bottom left once and then for example if it is the number 5, you will press the G key which has a dot on it as an indication that it represents the number 5. However if you wish to put a string of numbers like your telephone number you will need to go in to numeric mode which you do again by pressing the bottom left key but this time you press it twice and then put in your numbers. To return to character mode press the left key once and then start writing your text. You mention that your Mum is providing sighted assistance. In this case again as I have explained before you will find the numeric keypad in the centre of the qerty keyboard. Keys f g and h are numbers 4 5 and 6. This means that you will find 1 2 and 3 above these keys and 7 8 9 below. 0 is to the right of the number 9. Finally you ask about the punctuation, I will have to go away and plug my phone in to have a look at this but nowadays we can obtain punctuation and emoticons with a key press but that is what I have to check as I am currently using an iPhone since December as I amd very disappointed that Talks could not even provide basic speeh.

Subject: [access-uk] help with my nokia e5

Hi

I have a nokia e5, I am having a few difficulties with it.
Firstly, the function key and the control keys are not
speaking, I don't think they have ever done so. The e5 has
the querty keypad, I am not quite sure how to change from
letter to number to lower case when typing in a message,
also how to see all the punctuation, I know you can get some
of them on the right hand side such as @, ., and a few
others but it isn't easy to find them all, on my c5 you
press the star and the whole list is easy to get at.

Also, I am trying to pair an anchor bluetooth keyboard with
the phone, it is seeing the bluetooth keyboard but not sure
how or what to put in for the password, it just says it is
on the screen, what screen, mum has been trying to help me
and she cannot see a password. Please put me right with
this.

Regards

Adrien
