In my case, about seven seconds to start device and then
allow time for it to do it's job.

Hi tony

Ok perhaps I can request a different device, I think they
can change
it if need be. I just have to work out how many seconds to
hold the
round button for,

Am not surprised but often disappointed that such folk
don't mention
accessibility but I find it a very helpful feature indeed.

Yes the MiFI (oblong box) is Netgear and I guess it is the
WiFi set up
is Aircard.

I don't know about Huwaii but think it didn't have the
audio when I
did use it back in the day.

Hi tony

Ok that is interesting as I asked about this at free shop
and they
didn't mention it, I have left the box with my
dab
radio in the uk for now so don't have the instructions
with
me but I will look into it, it is not netgear I know that
much, I
think it comes up as something like huway, not
sure,
I looked at the website on the router last night, I
couldn't
see any such setting as sound but perhaps I need to be in
a
different place, I will find out more when I can use it
again in the
uk. Thanks.

Hi Adrien,

All I can add to this is that I have 3 MiFI and the name
on
the device
is Netgear and in the menus I see Aircard ATOO.

There are three buttons on the MiFI and one of them gives
one certain
options one of those options is for sounds so you will
know
then when
activated whether your device is on WiFi or not on.

When WiFi is on it scales up in pitch and when turned off
it
goes in
reverse.
Now you need to be patient when powering up the MiFi but
when it's up
you will hear that welcome tone.

I did require sighted assist with this setting up but it
possibly
could be done on the net.

I'm talking Windows here.

HTH,

Tony Sweeney.

Hi

The myfi works fine, I just am not sure when it is on or
off
until I connect, it takes a bit to get used to. The
internal
interface is ok too.

I hate all of these Mi Fi as none are accessible.

Hi Eleanor

Ok I find the myfi device ok to use, I just wish it had
a
tone when you turned it on as I have no idea when it is
on
or off. I cannot use orange as it is 3g and I need a
separate
password to use it which I don't have. It is
only
for 6 weeks and then I will be back in the uk
permanently.

Well Adrian I do not find Three to be very accessable
when
using their Three
App and they are doing nothing about it though I have
brought it to
their attention. I think you may have to select Orange
while
in
France as I now
choose 02 in Ireland rather than Three and it works OK
without any
extra charge.

Hi Eleanor

Ok well I shall email 3.com but there is little I can
do,
it
is only picking up orange. I am cancelling my french
3g
as
I
don't need it now. Thanks.

I have the same problem in Ireland Adrienne. The
reception
is absolutely terrible three man tent that Ireland is
a
home
country and the rates are supposed to be the same as
the
UK
but as I said the reception is appalling.

the
uk but here in France it only seems to pick up a 3g
connection, I
have been into the device on the router
but
cannot see how to find another network, it appears it
is
only 3g in France, they told me it would work, any
ideas
please? The network it is picking up orange you need
a separate
