Hi all
I'm am new to the this list and here's my first post. I have a friend who works
for a major company, something to do with programing, I'm not technically
minded. He recently visited our home and volunteered to asked to be blinded for
the day in the hope of experiencing something of world form our view. During
the day he used our screenreader to access his work website and tried to
perform some tasks which he would do on a day to day basis. As a result he is
wanting to find a way in which graphics can be displayed in a renewable tactile
form to enable a visually impaired person to see what is on the screen. I have
spoken to George bell of Techno-vision who gave me someuseful info. Somebody
mentioned something called a tablet. I don't know anything about this product
or whether it is still available. To have a display made up of pins like a
braille display he realises would be prohibitively expensive but is sure there
may be an alternative way.

Question: does anyone have any information or contacts regarding research or
current device available. This guy is one of those people who gets a bee in his
bonnet and won't give up, so if anyone can help he will be very grateful.#
Brian
