Paul, I don't think that's correct. the headphones output is mono not Stereo. I tried to connect it up through a fono cable to my amp and am only getting sound out of one speaker.
I've now got to find a way of connecting my Goodmans and DVD player through my Amp so that I can have sound through the Amp but not have to have the TV turned on.

The set top box has a stereo audio output with a standard headphone socket.There are 2 scart sockets, both providing audio output. There is no optical output.
