Paul, I don't think that's correct. the headphones output is mono not Stereo. I tried to connect it up through a fono cable to my amp and am only getting sound out of one speaker.

I've now got to find a way of connecting my Goodmans and DVD player through my Amp so that I can have sound through the Amp but not have to have the TV turned on.

The set top box has a stereo audio output with a standard headphone socket.

There are 2 scart sockets, both providing audio output.

There is no optical output.

Hi Folks

I've been on the RNIB web site to try and find the technical details of the box but alas cannot find anything. It's been mentioned on this thread that the box doesn't have an audio output, but someone mentioned that it did have a headphone output which was only in mono. So can someone please clarify for me:-

1. To obtain audio output do I need a scart to phono plug?
2. Does the box have optical output.
3. Is the headphone output sterio or mono
4. How many scart sockets does the box have.

I'm currently using the NetGem box which I have set up with scart to a scart switch and then to my TV and The optical output goes to my soundbar If the Goodmans box only has one scart and no audio output then I'm not going to be able to do this. I'll have to either lose output to my soundbar or lose the better quality of picture via scart from the box to TV (not a problem to me but my sighted family won't appreciate it).

So can someone please post a description of the sockets on the back of the box.

Thanks
Martin
