Hi Jackie I have a Panasonic digital recorder as sold by gadget choice and have thought about using that to store my phone numbers but I'm not sure how it would work? I'm not very confident at reading from braille, I have a list of the numbers that I use in braille and would want to transfer these across. What sort of digital gadgets do the RNIB sell? I phoned them the other day but they were very vague and didn't really know what I was after. As for the number of phone numbers, probably about 150 give or take. Regards Adrien You can get me off list at adriencollins06@xxxxxxx or adrien_collins@xxxxxxxxxxx Speakon is a free fully self-voicing accessible multimedia program for the visually impaired, find out more by downloading the software from: http://www.a-technic.net/speakon.htm You can join the speakon user group by sending a blank e-mail to: speakon-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jackie Cairns Sent: Friday, January 25, 2008 11:46 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: gadget for storing phone numbers Hi Adrian The obvious one is a mobile with TALKS, but I suppose that isn't the cheapest option. The RNIB have various recording gadgets, as do Cobolt, but I suppose it would depend on whether you have lots of numbers, and would want them on a tape or in digital folders.
