I have always found it just as easy to amend my Freelist settings from the
Freelists website. You can immediately see that your changes have taken
effect.

Hi George

this is very interesting. As said,I am using Outlook 2000, and I've
temporarily set jaws to read all graphics and punctuation. You may be
seeing something that Jaws isn't detecting, so how would I try to find out
what it is and turn it off?

The most common problem in subscribing, etc., to Freelists
is that many mailers add chevrons or other characters to the
reply such as can be seen in Alex's reply below. This
breaks up a vital part of the message which is actually a
command line to tell the list software something.

In most cases, if you temporarily stop this happening, then
send your reply to freelists, the command will go through.

George.

Hi, I've had no problems subscribing, unsubscribing, etc,
from lists run by
Freelists using Outlook Express/Windows Mail using my Gmail
account via Pop,
so this could be a specific issue to do with either your
e-mail client, your
e-mail provider, or a combination. Hope that helps.
