Barry, Having had to deal with some pretty nasty Trojans etc myself recently I'd echo the comments about using the MS antispyware tool as well as Spybot and Adaware. AVG will pick up the probs but not remove things like Trojans, you'll need to use these other tools for that or if it's a really ansty one like I had you may need some additional assistance, in my case a friend found a tool on the web that had been written by a guy in Australia that dealt with the problem but it would've been completely unusable with jaws.
