It's so simple once you know how to do it - smile!
In fact it's even easier than I'd realised as, having selected one or two
paragraphs to be indented and then pressing alt p followed by I and l,
(whereupon I wrote 1.27 in the editfield, approximating this to about half
an inch), any subsequent paragraphs I added from that point on were
automatically indented.
I am so grateful to both you and Jackie and thank the list for tolerating my
persistent stupidness and taking up so much space on this topic.
