And in this case, I have to say that I'm not surprised that it was forwarded by a list member.

Given all the furore about RNIB's Overdrive in the recent past in dozens of messages here, I think I would have done the same myself.

Having said that, I have no problem with suppliers simply posting links to announce new products and/or services, just so long as they are basically "one liners".

For example, "We have just released an upgrade to XYZ. Full details at [web site address]."
