I’m not sure whether this is quite what you want.
The pressing of the Control key will clear the JAWS read buffer so that the
next screen change will be the next thing reported. If you happen to be on the
final screen, you should be able to read it with Insert+B.
I don’t know of a way of permanently setting JAWS to interrupt itself rather
than building up a buffer which it slowly divulges.

Subject: [access-uk] focus reading interupt hot key
Hi
Is there a hotkey to prevent JAWS from reading the full item in focus even if
the actual on-screen content has changed? For example, say I am installing an
application and various dialog boxes are popping up on the screen showing
different components being installed and then automatically disappearing once
that particular stage is done. JAWS will read the full title or item in focus
for a particular screen even if that screen has already disappeared and has
been replaced by another. It will then read the new screen and so on. I would
like to know if there is a hotkey to change this behavior so that it
immediately reads out any focus change even if that means interrupting what it
was reading before so that it matches the on-screen display.
Thanks for any help anyone can give
