Hi Hannah, following up on this, a dll file means a dynamic link library. This basically means that it uses executable code from other files and links them all together in one file. Hope this explains what a DLL is. To search for DLL files so that you hear what DLLs your system comes with, check out c:\windows\system32. There's loads in there! -- Chris Hallsworth Please visit my blog at http://chrishallsworth.wordpress.com You wrote: Hi again Hannah, This plugin by the way can be as simple as a DLL file. Really simple really. A plugin or codec is as simple as placing a button on your living room radio that says... play flac files. Download an ogg codec and your radio will play ogg files. its as simple as it sounds complicated.
