indeed, looking at the site, as i did after emailing you, it says there is a
limited number of activations of that key, and the example quoted was two
desktops and a laptop.  so we're fine i think.  great prog that, thanks for
the tip.

As far as I'm aware you can use one copy to backup from one, install on a
second machine for restoration.

Martin,
 
I'm lazy and use ABF Outlook Backup 3 for the job.  It grabs my web
favourites, rules, mails, calander, etc etc.
 
If you google about though there are several step by step guides on how to
do it manually.
 
The software i have has to be paid for.
It's not difficult to move the stuff around, I just prefer the software
because it grabs it all a bit quicker and deploys it onto the other machine
quicker too.  smile.
 
plus you can schedule backups and even restores with it.
