hi george, thanks for this. it really annoys me when you ring your ISP and
they say they can't find anything. yet you ring back 20 minutes later and
they look into it again and .. bingo!! problem solved.

Basically it seems you were allocated an IP
address as stated, and for some reason or another,
the appropriate look up Server was unable to find
it.  The address is listed as belonging to
PlusNet, which makes it all the more surprising
that they could not have explained this to you.
