Hi everybody, I emailed Olympus for information on UK suppliers of the DM5,
also asking if the DM4 as released in the US was the same as the DM5.
I have had a reply, and, since it was being discussed recently I thought I'd
pass it on.
It would appear from what they say that supply has been restricted to a few
access tech companies, not their market in general.

I have contacted our technical support team who have confirmed that the DM-4
and DM-4 are equivalent models. The DM-5 is the UK version.
The DM-5 is currently as exclusive for the following retailers and can also be

Subject I want to buy a DM5
Hi, I want to buy a DM5, but I can only find one supplier, Hagger Electronics.
I haven't found any other Olympus suppliers who stock it. Why is this? I
realise it's only been a month or so since it was released, but other models
have been more generally available following their release.
I have one more question. Is the DM5 the same spec as the DM4 as released in
the US? I have looked for demos of the DM5 in order to judge performance and
sound quality, but all I can find are demos of the DM4. If there are
differences between the performance or spec of the DM5 could you let me know.
