Hi Joe
Glad you have got it sorted. Despite all the suggestions in this thread to get
speech back on my phone sometimes, the only way to retrieve it is to reboot the
handset. When speech does go, I find it is there through headphones which is
most odd. And if I ask Siri to turn VoiceOver back on, he tells me it’s
already on which, of course, it is.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

well firstly, peter, i did have an android phone for some time, and found it
not just what i wanted, i had great difficulty operating it, put it down to my
inability to absorb technical information, it just hadn’t got what i wanted
from my phone, so i switched back to an i phone, well, as i said in my last
message the voice over disappeared, so with said phone in pocket i headed for
my nearest i phone store, explaining to the guy there what the problem was, he
understood, then said “have you tried switching it off and switching it back
on again” i hadn’t, he did just that, and yes, you’ve guessed it, voice over
came straight on again, ah well, i’ll remember in future, thanks for all the
suggestions and apologies to the moderator for the short novel, god bless,
travel safely, joe bollard.
