Greetings,
Ollie, same is true about GoldWave, having tried WavePad and Audacity, I
maintain GoldWave is by far and away the easiest to use. It, also, has a
free trial version, no restrictions at all the trial lasts I think for about
two thousand or possibly more key strokes and you are warned well before
reaching the end of trial.
As I advised you privately, I am willing to assist you.
I also sent you the scripts.
Yes, audacity and WavePad can work without Jaws scripts, so will GoldWave,
but they all become a great deal better if scripted. I also use
TotalRecorder without scripts, again, this works well but I am sure would
become more accessible with scripts.
totalRecorder has free trial versions, but inserts a short sound every so
often which can only be stopped by purchasing. In the case of GW and TR,
licence is lifetime and neither cost a great deal, I believe, like GW TR is
sourced in Canada, certainly the author of GW is readily contactable and
has, in my 10-year experience, been very helpful.
