Hi SimonI have been reading your other messages, I was only given 10 days to return the item and in that there are 2 weekends and the deadline falls on a Sunday, talk about being unhelpful. Being that I am in France, the post office is shut on Saturday afternoons and until Monday, by the time I got mum to pack the items up, I had lost 4 out of the 10 days, it is asking a bit much to get a package to the uk and then forwarded on to ebay.Regards Adrien -----Original Message-----From: access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of goshawk on horsebackSent: Thursday, July 25, 2013 11:12 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: ebay help wanted not at all! we need the extra time to sort out assistance and such, they don't. why does there always have to be one, who has to complicate the issue! And to keep on topic, we are talking about Technology aren't we! They are treating us same as other customers, (and no different to any other company that Sells goods via the internet) Let's not forget, when we place an oorder (or paid the seller) we are then agreeing To terms and conditins. I even took legal advice to try taking legal action against ebay for not complying with the disability access laws, but the solicitor said it would take too much money to take on sucha giant, and as they are not based in UK, it would be very difficult to enforce any laws to win the battle. I did inform RNIB to take up the case, but they have done pretty much nothing. After further advice, I was informed, the only way to resolve this matter, would be to take this to the press and give reports about how such a largecompany can flaunt disability access laws. However, it would take apertition to make this viable. I even thought about pertitioning my MP tobring companies like this to justice, but with what has been happening with large companies like this not even paying their taxes, I doubt if actionwould be taken. However, I feel we should all create a petition and lobbyebay, so they have to listen to us as a mass group of disillussioned people, rather than as individuals, where they have no intention of doing anything. Unfortunately, money talks and ebay have a lot of moneyy to continue ignoring the law. Sorry for the rant, but it makes me sick, trying to challenge companies like ebay and betfair, who make millions, but are just greedy and do not care about their customers.
